PRESIDENT & CEO of ATHENA ENTERPRISES USA, INC.
Former Acting Chief of Law Enforcement & Special Response Team Commander for the FL Division of Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco

Tania Pendarakis is recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in multiple criminal justice disciplines.  She served the law enforcement profession for more than 30 years and is certified as a general, specialized and high liability instructor by the Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission.  Tania also holds teaching certificates from the National Institute of Ethics and serves as an adjunct instructor for the Criminal Justice Executive Institute, the Florida Leadership Academy (Florida Department of Law Enforcement), Tallahassee Community College and for St. Petersburg College.

Pendarakis served in uniform patrol for five years and as an undercover officer for eight.  She worked for a plain clothes state investigative agency for 22.5 years and was promoted up each rung of the chain of command from detective to Interim Chief of Law Enforcement.  Pendarakis was the State Emergency Response Team Commander for the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco and has extensive experience in multi-jurisdictional law enforcement and emergency response to critical incidents.  While serving as a Law Enforcement Major and Acting Chief, Pendarakis was responsible for the management of approximately 200 sworn law enforcement officers and support staff including employee screening, personnel actions and discipline.  She was responsible for oversight of the Division's criminal and administrative investigations, legislative bill analysis, drafting of policies and procedures and special projects.  From 1997-2001 she was on special assignment to the Executive Office of the Governor.

While serving as a Deputy Sheriff for the Marion County Sheriff's Office and during her tenure as a Special Agent with the Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco, Pendarakis was officially recognized for her high arrest record and numbers of administrative cases filed.  She received a special commendation from the Office of the State Attorney, 5th Judicial Circuit, for a 100% conviction rate.  Tania shares in her lessons the skills and techniques that produce such successful investigative outcomes.

Pendarakis retired from active duty in July '2007 but continues to travel the globe providing advanced body language techniques classes, and interviews and interrogations training to sworn and non-sworn government and private sector investigators and inspectors.  She also teaches leadership and ethics classes to law enforcement personnel.

In addition to teaching criminal justice classes, Tania sits on the Executive Board of the State Law Enforcement Chiefs' Association (Florida) and provides free technical support for several non-profit organizations including Cops for Kids Tallahassee.
